 I’m Annie - A London-based maker and the founder of BugBear, a small business born from a creative passion and a mission to reduce waste in the world. Waste has always been my bugbear — the frustration of seeing materials discarded and forgotten inspired me to turn them into something valued and beautiful.

Each project starts with whatever I’m given, donated, or discover in the world. The materials themselves guide the design, shaping each creation in a way that’s unique and meaningful. For me, it’s about more than making things — it’s about proving that discarded materials can have a second life, bringing purpose, creativity, and story back into the world.

Starting this business in my spare time has allowed me to combine my love for design with my lifelong commitment to the environment. Every item I create is a small act of resistance against the throwaway culture of consumerism, and a reminder that thoughtful design can turn frustration into inspiration.
